Exploding Hearts forever. Doesn’t get better than “Sleeping Aides and Razorblades.”
minskr:

Thrilled to see this Exploding Hearts feature by Matt LeMay. I interviewed Matt for my MTV Hive feature for Guitar Romantic’s 10th anniversary. He had so many amazing things to say that I had to cut due to word count. (Same with my King Louie Bankston interview, which was endlessly quotable. I used about 1% of it.) All of my favorite things he told me are included in this feature. Definitely read it.
Fun fact: I got my first-ever noise complaint on Sunday because of Guitar Romantic. It is impossible to listen to that album at a reasonable volume.

Real Kids - Common At Noon (lyrics + chords)
D Em A  (verse)
Ain’t my town, aint like it used to be, when you were still hanging round. Aint the same, streets have changed their names and the buildings are falling down.
Bm Em Bm A - Bm Em A (bridge)

Sun shines out on the common at noon. All those girls look like you. Yes they do.
I stay downtown, where all the streets are steaming, and the kids won’t let you down. Summer nights down by the harbor dreaming, but you aint nowhere to be found.
Sun shines out on the common at noon. All those girls look like you. All those girls look like you.
D A Em - Bm A (Chorus)
No more looking for you, I’m so skinny without you. Doesn’t matter what I do, I can’t stop dreaming about you. Well I’m hanging out at the common at noon, thinking I’m gonna find you. It doesn’t matter what you do, baby I still love you. Yes I do.
Ain’t my town, aint like it used to be when you were still hanging round. Aint the same, streets have changed their names and the buildings are falling down.

It doesn’t matter what you do, baby i still love you. It doesn’t matter what you do, baby i still love you. It doesn’t matter what you do, baby i still love you. Always.
